LASIK
LASIK is the procedure of choice to correct
nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Aside from
the cosmetic effect of making you look and feel younger, clear
vision without the handicap of eyeglasses or contact lenses
is indescribable. We offer a range of lasik procedures, all
of which are done with the VISX S4 model with Iris Registration.
Iris registration allows greater precision and safety.
LASIK is an outpatient procedure which takes
10 to 15 minutes to perform, allows you to walk out with both
eyes open and even go to work the very next day.

Presbyopia LASIK
LASIK for presbyopia (the need for reading
glasses after age 40) is a 15 to 20 minute outpatient procedure
which corrects both distance and reading grades.

Conductive Keratoplasty
Nearvision CK is a non-laser procedure to correct presbyopia
(the need for reading glasses after age 40). It is a simple
office procedure which takes 3 to 5 minutes per eye. The evaluation
consists of mapping your cornea, measurements, and an eye
examination. The treatment involves anesthetic (numbing) eye
drops, and a keratoplast tip to apply radiofrequency energy.
Glaucoma
Glaucoma is primarily treated medically. However, should
your ophthalmologist recommend eye laser treatment for glaucoma,
the laser is a quick procedure which is done with the argon
or yag laser, or a combination of both. |
